A chemistry teacher at the Florida school where 17 people were killed, was arrested for leaving a loaded gun in a public restroom. Unfortunately, a drunk homeless man found it and fired it.
The teacher has been charged with failing to safely store his weapon. Thankfully, no one was injured. The teacher has been identified as 43 yr old, Sean Simpson. He does have a concealed weapons permit but managed to leave his 9mm in a public restroom at the Deerfield Beach Pier Sunday. He was returning to get it when he heard a gunshot, and found the man holding the pistol. The teacher posted a $250 bond.
