Kevin Hart has officially stepped down as the host of the 2019 Oscars. Hart was met with much scrutiny when he announced that he would be serving as host for one of the biggest shows of his career. Social media dug down deep and brought up his past which caused the comedian to gracefully bow out. Check out his announcement below:
Kevin was being chastised for some old tweets that resurfaced that caused fans to believe that he is homophobic.
The Oscars wanted Kevin to apologize and go on with the show but, Kevin has already apologized and doesn’t feel he should have to again. He decided to step down, saying,”“I passed, I passed on the apology. I’m not gonna continue to go back and tap into the days of old when I’ve moved on. I’m in a completely different space in my life,” according to TheWrap.com.
