The Columbus City School Board is set to take up its vote on the impending closing of Brookhaven High School, Monroe Middle School, Arlington Park Elementary, Maybury Elementary, Fifth Avenue Elementary in Victorian Village would also be closed although its students would relocate to Hubbard Elementary located just north of Goodale Park. Columbus City Schools are facing $50 million in budget cuts while trying to reduce an impending $200 million shortfall that would come about in 4 years if budget cuts aren’t made.
