Thomas Protest

 

AKRON, OH (WOIO) –

Family and friends of Raupheal Thomas gathered on Emerling Street at 11 a.m. to march to the Akron Police Department to protest Monday’s deadly shooting.

The fatal officer-involved shooting that happened on Monday, November 3.

Officers say they responded to a call of two suspicious men on Orrin Street, near Rosyln Avenue.

Two officers in separate cars responded to the area and approached the men.

According to officers, one of the men became confrontational and as they tried taking him into custody things became physical.

During the struggle shots were fired by officers.
