According to Fox 28, a fire broke out at an apartment complex in southwest Columbus Saturday, displacing a family of seven.

The fire happened late morning in the 2200 block of Forest Creek Circle Drive. Firefighters arrived to see heavy smoke coming from the apartment.

Significant fire damage could be seen toward the front of the unit. Authorities say a fire wall helped prevent the fire from spreading.

The local chapter of the American Red Cross was on-scene helping the four adults and three children affected by the fire.

Officials have not confirmed what sparked the fire.
