The 30th Annual National Night Out is all about crime and drug prevention.

Columbus police officers will be participating in the event from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. around Columbus.

More than 150 community events are planned throughout Central Ohio, including live music, porch light vigils, cookouts and multiple kid-friendly activities.

National Night Out is designed to promote police-community partnerships; heighten crime, drug and violence awareness; generate support for anti-crime efforts; and build neighborhood unity by sending a message to criminals that neighborhoods are fighting back.  Take an active stance against criminals and join your friends and neighbors in the fight against crime.
